ACADEMIC GUIDELINES

Academic standards in the Academic - Teaching-Learning Process 

We have maintaining high academic standards in the Academic – Teaching and Learning Process association with enthusiastic and creative Head of the departments and faculties.

• Conduct Internal Tests & Model Examination.
• Identify weak students and conduct special coaching classes.
• Counsel the students and conduct re-test for those failed/performed poorly.
• Conduct  seminars , symposium and conference
• Motivate students to do Innovative Project  

Conditions for Admission:

•  Condition for admission to the Diploma courses shall be required to have passed in The S.S.L.C Examination of the Board of Secondary Education, Tamil Nadu.
• The Matriculation Examination of Tamil Nadu.

Admission to Second year (Lateral Entry):

•  A pass in HSC (academic) or (vocational) courses mentioned in the Higher Secondary Schools in Tamil Nadu affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Higher Secondary Board with eligibility for University Courses of study or equivalent examination & Should have studied .
• A pass in 2 Years ITI with appropriate Trade or Equivalent examination.

Age Limit: No Age limit.

Eligibility for the Award of Diploma:

Classification of successful candidates:

          Classification of candidates who will pass out the final examinations from April 2023 onwards (Joined first year in 2020 -2021) will be done as specified below.

First Class with superlative Distinction:

          A candidate will be declared to have passed in First Class with Superlative Distinction if he/she secures not less than 75% of the marks in all the subjects and passes all the semesters in the first appearance itself and passes all subjects within the stipulated period of study 2 / 3 years [Full time (lateral entry)/Full Time] without any break in study.

First Class with Distinction:

          A candidate will be declared to have passed in First Class with Distinction if he/she secures not less than 75% of the aggregate marks in all the semesters put together and passes all the semesters except the I and II semester in the first appearance itself and passes all subjects within the stipulated period of study 2 / 3 years [Full time(lateral entry)/Full Time] without any break in study.

First Class:

  A candidate will be declared to have passed in First Class if he/she secures not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in all the semesters put together and passes all the subjects within the stipulated period of study 2 / 3 years [Full time(lateral entry)/Full Time] without any break in study.

Second Class:

  All other successful candidates will be declared to have passed in Second Class.
